Battling the Elements
Years of exposure to salt air, gale winds, and seasonal moisture had taken a severe toll on the structural frame and finishes. Mold, warped siding, and window leaks were evident throughout. The homeowners wanted to preserve the home’s footprint but needed a solution that would deliver lasting protection and elegance worthy of the Nantucket setting.
Reinvented for the Coast
Our team rebuilt the envelope with reinforced steel supports, fiber-cement clapboard siding, hurricane-grade windows, and a custom zinc roof system. Inside, whitewashed pine beams, polished concrete floors, and low-E glass ensured thermal performance and style. The wraparound porch, with integrated drainage and teak decking, offers sweeping views in all seasons—resilient, refined, and ready for generations to enjoy.
